Joni has a rich background that includes more than 20 years of experience in local government where she served as chief political adviser to four mayors and dozens of city council members, headed up economic development efforts, pioneered a sustainability program and oversaw public information and communications programs. She has many years of experience as a legislative lobbyist, is an internationally recognized business coach, former vice president of public affairs for a major trauma hospital and owner of several small business ventures. She has led civic engagement projects in the fields of energy, education, pharmaceuticals and aviation.

Deborah started her career at WESH-TV Channel 2 and then transitioned from television to marketing new companies and products. She has 35+ years of marketing experience, including the commercialization of new technologies from the U.S. National Laboratory at Los Alamos. These efforts included serving as liaison for break-through technologies to the U.S. Congress, Pentagon, CIA and other federal agencies. An Accredited Public Relations professional (APR), she ran the regional nonprofit Angel Flight Southeast, owned and operated an advertising and public relations firm that specialized in real estate development and construction, and was the vice president of public relations for a large agency that provided a variety of marketing services across the country and internationally. Deborah is active in the community, serving on various boards for industry, the City of Golden and Jefferson County.
